Get to Know Rob
Here are some quick facts about Rob's family, background, interests and service to the community.
Family
Rob grew up in Overland Park and moved his family to De Soto in 2008.
Married to Lisa Daniels since 1995, they have four boys that all came up through the De Soto school systems, with one currently serving as a reservist in the Kansas Army National Guard. Rob's parents, Chuck and Karen Daniels, also reside in De Soto.
Professional Background
With a professional background that includes owning Tech Wyze, Inc., a computer consulting company for 25 years, and serving as an Apple and Adobe trainer for 20 years, Rob brings a wealth of experience to his role. Currently, he is the IT Director for Westside Family Church in Lenexa, KS. Rob has also been a De Soto Chamber Board Member from 2019 through 2024 and a Rotary Member since 2017, serving as Rotary President for 2023-2024.
Personal Interests
Rob started focusing on his health in 2020 and actively enjoys competing in triathlons with his wife. He has also been an active photographer often seen on the sidelines of the De Soto football games among other places.

Service to Others
Rob was first elected to the City Council in 2017 and is currently serving as the 2024 City Council President. Not only has Rob served as an elected official, but also has served as a Scout leader for more than a decade, in Rotary, in his church and a volunteer with the JoCo Sheriffs Office.
