I am honored to write this letter in support of Rob as he seeks the position of Mayor of DeSoto, Kansas. Having had the privilege of witnessing his leadership firsthand during his time on the City Council, I can confidently say that he embodies the qualities needed to guide our city forward.

Rob has demonstrated exceptional leadership, particularly in his ability to bring together citizens and developers to advance key projects that benefit our community.

His approach of inclusivity ensuring every voice is heard and valued. He fosters meaningful dialogue and collaboration, resulting in decisions that reflect the best interests of our residents.

He is a compassionate and engaged leader. He listens intently, communicates effectively and always approaches challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset.  His knowledge of city governance, combined with his genuine care for the people he serves, makes him an ideal candidate for mayor.

I wholeheartedly support Rob in his leadership, our city will continue to grow and thrive.

My family and I have lived in De Soto for a little over 25 years.

We live in an area that has been significantly impacted by the growth and changes De Soto is going through.  As a result of this growth and development, our property and way of life were substantially impacted.  With limited options, we reached out to a number of elected officials to try to help.

Rob Daniels was quick to jump in and help us.  He sacrificed his personal time to lead evening meetings with neighbors and City officials to help us come up with some good solutions.  His willingness to listen, coordinate, communicate and jump in with both feet to help us in a difficult situation speaks volumes about his character.

I am Lesley Janssen of Janssen Stables and I am supporting Rob Daniels for Mayor.

I have been a resident and landowner in DeSoto since 1999.  I have been a vocal critic of the Panasonic battery plant and its negative impact on landowners effected by the project.  My criticism was mostly in regard to the lack of communication from the current mayor and his office.  From the beginning, decisions were being made at city hall with little or no communication or regard to the families and businesses that were directly impacted in a negative way.

Long before Rob Daniels announced his campaign for Mayor, Rob took the time to learn about me, my family, and my business.  He met me where I was, in a time of crisis.  I was trying to juggle meetings with the city mayor, city council, city planning commission, Evergy, Atmos, and others, in addition to running a business and being a single parent just to get information that effected my business operations and daily life.

I give Rob tremendous credit for reaching out and helping me understand what was being done at city hall and the upcoming time frames that directly impacted me and my business.  Additionally, Rob was willing to discuss how he could help me navigate my future here in DeSoto.  It took courage, patience, time, and effort on his part and I applaud his efforts.

I believe Rob Daniels has brought a little humanity to city hall.  He has built a bridge and restored my faith that government can be run efficiently and in conjunction with the residents.  More importantly, he has kept me informed with on-going communication and has followed thru on his promises.  I believe he has what it takes to be an exceptional mayor.

Rob Daniels has gone the extra mile for me, and I think he will do the same for the city and its residents.

My voice and opinion absolutely matters as a De Soto resident.

I best see and hear my values when Rob Daniels speaks.

I know if I don’t stand up now and vote, I will have no say in the future development of De Soto.

I am supporting Rob Daniels for Mayor because of his willingness to work with De Soto families alongside developers.

Rob has my trust and support for his transparency, honesty and willingness to discuss all things De Soto.

De Soto needs a fresh new voice for mayor in our growing community.  Rob will provide that new voice with incredible energy and integrity.  He is not afraid of differing opinions.  His open communication approach and willingness to talk through tough topics is just what our community needs.  Rob has my support!

If you want to know what's happening inside City Hall, just ask Rob Daniels—he's always open to an honest conversation. That's refreshing in an environment where people often avoid answering questions or aren't interested in the facts.
